You've been through a lot in your world, with many ups and downs. Now, rather than letting everything manage you, I'm excited for you to be in control of your health & happiness instead!
Most of us were not brought up to eat in a way that gives our bodies proper nourishment. In fact, there is a huge industry profiting from us eating foods that cause damage and deterioration.
I have helped hundreds of people change their eating habits and relationship with food - starting with myself.
Here are my top tips. They will almost feel too simple, but that is why they work!
Tip #1: Construct your Healthy Plate (watch the video and download the pdf) with high-quality non-processed foods. Half of your meal should be vegetables. Easier said than done, I know, but check out my next tip!
Tip #2: Add! Don't take away! Add the healthy foods in and don't restrict yourself. Love a big bowl of pasta? Great! Add an equal proportion of greens in the sauce or on the side.
Tip 3#: Don't track your calories, fat, or sugar, but track how you feel after eating. Here is where the real magic happens!
How to track how you feel: Be present when you eat, chew slowly, and notice the sensations and flavors in your mouth. Notice how you feel after you eat and a few hours later. Note any reflections. What did you eat? How do/did you feel? What factors got in the way of you eating a healthy plate?
