How to Find the Right Coach in Mauritius (If Youโ€™re Wondering Whether You Even Need One)

You know something needs to shift, but you’re not sure what or who to turn to.

Should you talk to a therapist? Hire a coach? Just power through?

This is one of the most common questions I hear.

And the honest answer is: it depends.

Therapy vs. Coaching: What’s Right for You?

Therapists and Psychologists often help people process trauma or past events.
Coaches guide you in changing patterns, beliefs, and behaviors going forward.

Some of my clients work with both:
They may process the past with a therapist, while using coaching to rebuild their health, purpose, confidence, or energy in the present.

If you're navigating burnout, big decisions, or emotional "stuck"ness and you feel ready for action, coaching may be the right next step.

What to Look For in a Coach

The real question isn’t “Do I need a coach?”
It’s: Can they create lasting transformation?

Look for someone who:

  • Walks the talk

  • Has client results to show. Don’t just look for glowing praise. Look for real-life shifts e.g. “I have more energy and sleep better,” “I show up calmer at work and home," “I stopped overthinking and finally made that big life change.” These are the signs of a coach who helps people change for good.

  • Listens deeply, not just gives advice

  • Understands corporate life and the culture in Mauritius
  • Doesn’t offer a one-size-fits-all program, but caters to your biology, mindset, and real life schedule.

And yes, a foundation of strong credentials is important, but more important is whether you feel safe, supported, and challenged to actually become a better version of yourself.

Who Benefits the Most?

In case it helps you sense whether I’m the right coach for you, here are the people I work with most often.
(And truthfully, each of these stories has been part of my own journey, too.)

  • Burnt-out C-suite executives and entrepreneurs who look high-functioning on the outside but feel like they’re silently drowning.

  • People going through a divorce or life transition, who don’t want to just survive it, but come out wiser, emotionally stronger, and more aligned with who they really are. They want to become the kind of parent, leader, or partner they’d be proud of.

  • Women and Men struggling with energy, weight, or hormonal shifts, who’ve tried everything but haven’t cracked the code on sustainable vitality. Not just health, but vitality.

Each person comes with their own story,  but one thing connects them all:
They’re smart, aware, and deeply ready to shift.

Coaching Isn’t Advice-Giving. It’s a Mirror. A Catalyst. A Reset.

Coaching is not about someone telling you what to do.
It’s about helping you hear what your own deeper wisdom has been trying to say, beneath the noise of stress, overthinking, or people-pleasing.

It’s about building emotional fitness, mental resilience, and vibrant energy in your nervous system and body… so you can move forward with clarity and strength.

Final Thought

If you’re reading this and wondering whether now is the time, consider this:

It’s rarely the perfect time. But small aligned steps now can save you years of feeling off-track.

You don’t have to do this alone.
And you don’t have to burn out to justify getting support.
